THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOLLY FLAGMAN (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BAD TO THE BONE (T Godden) jumped awkwardly and stumbled shortly after the start. b) At the 700m JOLLY FLAGMAN (R A Venniker) which commenced to over-race had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of TAMBALA (M Thackeray), this resulted in BUNTING (S Moodley) being carried out marginally. c) DOIN' TIME (C Habib) was hanging in from the 300m. d) LONG GALLERY (C Maujean) shifted in sharply away from the crop and had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of DOIN' TIME in the concluding stages. e) Jockey T Godden reported something amiss with BAD TO THE BONE in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning BAD TO THE BONE (T Godden), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M Miller was advised. Suspension dates 11.03.2024 - 09.05.2024 bdi. g) BUNTING (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) BAD TO THE BONE : Bilateral epistaxis. 60 day suspension confirmed (Dr R Sutherland).
