THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TAXHAVEN (*M K Katjedi) and CALLABURN (R Fourie) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, KAMALA HILL (D Schwarz) and FOREST GOD (G Lerena) were bumped and carried out by DARK SILVER (D De Gouveia), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. Thereafter, KAMALA HILL (D Schwarz) and FOREST GOD (G Lerena) were ridden forward vigorously in an effort to maintain position, bumping on a number of occasions. b) Jockey G Lerena felt something amiss with FOREST GOD and eased this colt out of the race from the 1400m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Jockey C Habib reported that ROSSORE FINALE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey D Schwarz (KAMALA HILL) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey D Schwarz reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CLAW (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
