THE STARTER REPORTED: a) UNYIELDING (X Ndlovu) was nervous in the stalls. b) METAR (C Zackey) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls, jumped inwards and thereafter was slow into stride. c) SAIL THE SKY (*DB Geerthsen) and PEMBROKE (S Khumalo) were slow into stride. d) ALINGALONGA (R Fourie) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBETONIC (JP van der Merwe) over raced in the early stages. b) METAR (C Zackey) shifted out away from the crop at the 200m and was immediately straightened. c) DOWSER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
