CATCHAFALLINGSTAR jumped outwards, making contact with CASTING CALL. TWO FOR TEA jumped slow, losing one length. Jockey Behr appeared before the Board and was reminded that the Stewards expect him to make every effort to parade his mounts in front of the stand in future. STARS IN HER EYES was difficult leaving the parade ring and, in spite of the efforts from her rider, could not be paraded in front of the grandstand. In a tightly bunched field, CASTING CALL was squeezed out shortly after the start. Thereafter Jockey Zackey felt something amiss and he did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. FORGET O'GIRLS raced wide without cover throughout. In view of the performance of NAN, the Veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Fourie, the rider of EVENING SONG, reported that this filly did not stride out. CATCHAFALLINGSTAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FOXY LADY raced with ear muffs Vet: EVENING SONG - short left hind. NAN and CASTING CALL - nothing obvious detected. STILL TAPPIN - abnormal respiratory noise and speedy cut right hind. Scratched: BLUE DUCHESS - not eating up.
