THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAFFLES (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. b) TROIS TROIS QUATRE (M Yeni) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) POORLITTLERICHGIRL (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 400m. b) VIVA BRAZIL (K A Brewer) hung in from the 200m. c) At approximately the 200m, KWAZZI'S LADY (D De Gouveia) and WILLOW'S WISH (P Strydom) were carried in by TOTAL SURRENDER (P Mxoli), which shifted in away from the crop and was corrected. d) Apprentice T Mayhew (RIVER ROMEO) did not persevere with his riding from the 600m. Thereafter Apprentice T Mayhew reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running.
