THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WINTER GAMES (T Godden) and CYBER TIME (N Patel) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 200m CYBER TIME (N Patel) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed between IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA (R Fourie) which was hanging in from the 400m and LAGUNA VERDE (C Zackey) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into the above incident. However, after reviewing the patrol films of the race, he could not be satisfied that, but for the above incident, CYBER TIME (N Patel) would have finished in front of IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA (R Fourie). Accordingly, no further action was taken. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that MEXICAN PETE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performances of WINTER GAMES (T Godden) (11.25 lengths, 25/2 in the betting) and SUNDANCE KID (C Habib) (11.10 lengths, 8/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) NARINA TROGON (M Thackeray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) PASSAGE OF POWER raced with a cornell collar. b) MEXICAN PETE raced fitted with a tongue tie (advised 24.03.2024/07h41). c) Jockey C Habib (SUNDANCE KID) weighed out at 53.7kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
