THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOLLIFICATION (M Yeni) got it's hind leg caught up in the starting stall partition. This filly was unloaded, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. This filly then refused to reload and was subsequently withdrawn. Trainer N Kotzen will be advised to re-school this filly. b) DUCHESS OF GOLD (S Moodley), KIND JUDY (C Maujean), and LILLYBELLE (R A Venniker) were slow to stride losing 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 400m KIND JUDY (C Maujean) had to steady when awkwardly placed between GIVERS GRACE (G Lerena) and DUCHESS OF GOLD (S Moodley) which was hanging in. Thereafter at the 200m GIVERS GRACE (G Lerena) became unbalanced when brushed in by KIND JUDY (C Maujean) which had to steady when carried in by DUCHESS OF GOLD (S Moodley) which continued to hang in and was carried in by ESCAPOLOGIST (C F Dicken) which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. b) BALLROOM BLISS (*K J Lihaba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
