THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NYALI BEACH (K Minnie) was nervous in the stalls, jumped awkwardly, made contact with the front gate leaving the stalls and, as a consequence, was slow into stride. b) DESERT ROSE (D Schwarz) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with the front gate leaving the stalls. c) JAM JAM (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1400m YOUCRACKMEUP (S Naidoo), which proved difficult to settle in the early stages, rolled out and clipped the heels of RAISING QUINN (C Zackey). b) Jockey D Schwarz reported that DESERT ROSE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that DEMIGOD, which was hanging out in the latter stages, did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Jockey K Minnie reported that he felt something amiss with NYALI BEACH. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) FOR ALL WE KNOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
