THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ETERNAL LIFE (*M K Katjedi) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer C J Lensley was advised (GT). b) NATIONAL STAR (*S Sosibo) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) An inquiry will be opened to establish why CAPE LIGHTS (K Matsunyane) made contact with the inside running rail at approximately the 1200m. b) Approaching the 1000m, PLATINA PRINCESS (M Yeni), which rolled out, was steadied, and directed inwards to avoid the heels of LUCY IN THE SKY (*N Nastili). c) SOLDIER'S EYE (S Khumalo) was baulked from the 400m to the 200m and thereafter was directed inwards to continue its run. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ETERNAL LIFE, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 5 April 2024 to 11 April 2024. ETERNAL LIFE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer C J Lensley was advised. e) PLATINA PRINCESS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
