THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CRIMSON PRINCESS (K Minnie), CHERE FOR ME (P Mxoli), LADY MAJORCA (D Schwarz) and TIME FOR GLORY (C Maujean) were slow into stride. b) TREASURE HUNT (M van Rensburg) stumbled badly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Upon arriving at the Start, Jockey S Khumalo reported that SILVERY BLUE had stumbled on two occasions while proceeding to the start. After a veterinary examination, this filly was initially passed suitable to race. However, Jockey S Khumalo was not comfortable to fulfil his riding engagement and opted not to ride SILVERY BLUE. A replacement Jockey was sought and Jockey K Steyn replaced Jocky S Khumalo. After a second veterinary examination, SILVERY BLUE was found to be lame on the left front and subsequently scratched. This caused a significant delay to the start of this race. b) LADY MAJORCA (D Schwarz) over raced in the early and middle stages and proved difficult to assist. c) In the concluding stages, AND WE DANCED (L Mxothwa) was carried in marginally by LUNA HALO (R Fourie), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. d) AND WE DANCED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised.
