THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) SHIFTING PATH (A Domeyer) was restless and reared in the stalls.
b) BENEATH THE MOON (K Steyn) was restless, reared in the stalls and thereafter jumped slow, losing one length.
c) SEEKING PEACE (G van Niekerk) was restless in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing one length.
d) SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL (R Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) At the 800m WHISKEY BRAVO (O Noach) was steadied briefly when close to the heels of PHANTOMOFTHEFOREST (M Mjoka).
b) SHIFTING PATH (A Domeyer) was continually held up for a clear run from the 400m and had to be steadied approaching the 50m when awkwardly placed between SEEKING PEACE (G van Niekerk) and ROYAL LYTHAM (G Wright).
c) In the concluding stages, a tiring SEEKING PEACE (G van Niekerk) was steadied when awkwardly placed between SHIFTING PATH (A Domeyer) and AMETHYSTIC (X Carstens).
d) BENEATH THE MOON (K Steyn) was hanging out throughout.
e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BENEATH THE MOON (K Steyn), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 07/04/2024 to 13/04/2024 inclusive). BENEATH THE MOON may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SHIFTING PATH (A Domeyer), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 07/04/2024 to 13/04/2024 inclusive). SHIFTING PATH may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
