THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, MUJBAR (D De Gouveia) was bumped in by TEXAS RED (*M K Katjedi), which was carried in by SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT (G Lerena), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey D De Gouveia (MUJBAR) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter Jockey D De Gouveia reported that he felt something amiss with this horse in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey R Danielson (ANFIELDS ROCKET) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SAVANNAH STORM (R A Venniker) hung in in the concluding stages. e) SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LUCKY LAD raced with a tongue tie on (declared 3 April 2024 at 09H13).
