THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GLOBAL ZEE (K A Brewer) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised (GT). b) KING OF KILDARE (M Yeni) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) VARACE (D Schwarz) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey M Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.5.1 in that he failed to report to the Clerk of Scales at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of Race 1, in which he was engaged to ride KING OF KILDARE. Jockey M Yeni signed the Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1500 was imposed. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GLOBAL ZEE, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 10 April 2024 to 16 April 2024. GLOBAL ZEE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised. c) CYMRIC (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
