The start of this Race was delayed due to UPTOWN FUNK dislodging Jockey Samuel en route to the start, Jockey Samuel subsequently being attended to by the medical team, UPTOWN FUNK bolting the course, being taken in hand and withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon and the ambulance returning to the start. GIBRAL DE ROCHE (IRE) over-raced in the early and middle stages. PROUD WARRIOR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DESERT SONG raced fitted with alumites. UPTOWN FUNK raced fitted with ear-muffs. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Samuel dislodged from mount and stood down due to whip lash/concussion. Scratched: SHINING RIVER - elevated temperature. SIDESWIPE - injured whilst saddling. Not striding out left hind and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. UPTOWN FUNK - bolted. Fatigued and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
