THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THREAD OF LIFE (R Danielson) was stubborn loading, causing a delay. b) TARTAN QUEEN (L Mxothwa) and GLOBAL SCENE (D Ashby) were reluctant to load. c) GINGER PALACE (Y Ramzan) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. d) FANTASY GIRL (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 1000m FANTASY GIRL (R Fourie) was steadied briefly when awkwardly placed on the outside of the heels of GINGER PALACE (Y Ramzan). b) THREAD OF LIFE (R Danielson) was hanging in from the 400m. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding THREAD OF LIFE (R Danielson), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 20/04/2024 to 26/04/2024 inclusive). THREAD OF LIFE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GINGER PALACE (Y Ramzan), Trainer GD Smith will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) TRUE DESIGN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
