This Race was delayed due to the starting stalls having to be re-postioned on the track. JOHN IN FLIGHT was nervous in the stalls, jumped awkwardly and thereafter slow into stride. MARK THE DOORMAN, LE WARRIOR and NEWS ALERT were slow into stride SAIL SMARTLY over-raced in the early and middle stages. At approximately the 300m, MARK THE DOORMAN had to switch out to avoid running onto the heels of PHANTOM ROLLS which had come to the end of his run. SAIL SMARTLY was selected for the taking of specimen for analysis. SAIL SMARTLY cast its right front shoe in running. NEWS ALERT raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: MARK THE DOORMAN - not striding out left front. PHANTOM ROLLS - post race distress. JOHN IN FLIGHT - coughing post race.
