THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, POWER RANGER (P Mxoli) kicked the back gate. b) Fair break. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the loading process commenced POWER RANGER (P Mxoli) kicked the back gates, was removed from the stalls, checked by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) Jockey P Mxoli, the rider of POWER RANGER reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey M Nyamagwete, the rider of NANDINE, reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) KALLIPOS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Stidolph advised (GF) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Jockey R Danielson, the rider of FORGOTTEN TIME, weighed out at 56,8kg, of which 1kg was declared. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS: a) POWER RANGER and NANDINE were examined post-race. Nothing obvious was detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
