THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BACARDI BABE (*N Nastili) jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 800m, DRAGON DRAGON (R Fourie) commenced to over-race for a number of strides. b) CHATTANOOGA LADY (P Mxoli) hung in from the 600m, and thereafter shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. c) At approximately the 300m, DRAGON DRAGON (R Fourie) was carried out marginally by TOGETHER AGAIN (S Khumalo), which shifted out away from the crop from the 400m. Thereafter, at approximately the 150m, TOGETHER AGAIN (S Khumalo), which continued to shift out, and DRAGON DRAGON (R Fourie), which shifted in away from the crop, came together and bumped. Jockey S Khumalo (TOGETHER AGAIN) appeared before the Board and was advised to take the appropriate measures to ensure his mounts do not shift unnecessary ground in races. d) CENTREFOLD (C Habib), after racing prominently up until the 500m mark, tired and commenced to give ground to the field and as a consequence, Jockey C Habib did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. In view of this performance of CENTREFOLD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) FROZEN FANTASY (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
