THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALULA'S STAR (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ONE FELL SWOOP (C Habib) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) MRS GERIATRIX (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, MRS GERIATRIX (R Fourie) was squeezed out between TIME FO ORCHIDS (G Lerena) and ONE FELL SWOOP (C Habib), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) In view of the performance of KISS ME CAPTAIN (R A Venniker), (distance 8,00 lengths, betting 13/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with MRS GERIATRIX in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) MRS BROWNING (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP).
