THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, EVE'S APPLE (D Schwarz) broke through the front gates, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race, and reloaded. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer F P Habib was advised (GT). b) SYLVAN LADY (K Matsunyane) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer S G Tarry was advised (GT). c) BELLA'S CHARM (C Maujean) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) VILLA SEMAYA (R Danielson) proved reluctant to canter to the start. Trainer P P Labuschagne is to be advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended. b) Shortly before the finish line, SILKY JET (*K J Lihaba) and EASY ON ME (G Lerena) came together and brushed. c) Jockey D Schwarz (EVE'S APPLE) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with EVE'S APPLE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with KYLIE'S ANGEL in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SYLVAN LADY, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 3 May 2024 to 9 May 2024. SYLVAN LADY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer S G Tarry was advised. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to EVE'S APPLE, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion.
