THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TANNEN PRINCESS (G Lerena) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) FLYING REIGN STORM (S Moodley) over-raced in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist. c) At the 100m HER ROYALTY (T Godden) which was hanging out and LONG STREET (M Thackeray) which rolled in, came together and brushed. d) SWEETER THAN HONEY (R A Venniker) was baulked for a clear run in the concluding stages. e) Jockey J Jacobs reported that SANDY'S HORIZON took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was questioned with regard to the improved performance of TANNEN PRINCESS, the winner, compared to this filly's previous run at Hollywoodbets Greyville on the 03 April 2024. He explained that in his opinion this filly is better suited to the turf as compared to the poly-track surface in its previous run and that the fitting of the pacifiers and the ear muffs contributed to the improvement shown. The Board noted this explanation and advised Trainer van Zyl to run TANNEN PRINCESS similarly equipped in the immediate future and on the turf racing surface when possible. g) TANNEN PRINCESS (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) TOTHESTARSANDBACK raced without blinkers (advised 03.05.2024/07h36). b) CUPID'S WAY raced fitted with a tongue tie (advised 04.05.2024/07h33). c) TANNEN PRINCESS raced equipped with pacifiers and ear muffs (advised 04.05.2024/07h09).
