THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KAROO GOLD (S Moodley) over-raced in the early stages. b) GIMMEACHOICE (C Habib) hung out from the 300m. c) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with TROMBETTISTA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TROMBETTISTA, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
