THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IN THE ETHER (C Habib) was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) PENDRAGON (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. c) COPPOLA (J Greyling) and SAMOA (S Khumalo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 350m PRIZED PLATINUM (M Yeni), which commenced to hang out and SAMOA (S Khumalo) came together and bumped on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed between INAFIX (KA Brewer) and MUNCHKIN (C Zackey), which rolled out. b) Jockey G Lerena reported that PENDRAGON did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) STORMY SEAS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
