THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FEEL THE WIND (C Habib) was stubborn to load. Lost 2 lengths. Trainer Y Govender was advised to re-school this filly (SL).
b) ROSA OSIRIA (C Zackey) and LADY COTTON CANDY (*I Taka) lost 1 length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) LADY COTTON CANDY (*I Taka) raced detached from the field in the early and middle stages.
b) At the 700m Jockey N Patel (MISS LADYATERIX) lost the footing to his left side stirrup iron which he regained shortly thereafter.
c) Jockey D Daniels (HURRICANE CAT) appeared before the Board with regard to Rule 62.2.8 and he was reminded of his obligation to maintain a straight course relative to his drawn position.
d) Jockey T Godden reported that LAUGH TILL I CRY changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e) In view of the performance of TAKE NOTE (C F Dicken) (17.50 lengths, 14/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f) CAPE CAPRI (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (DZ).
