ON ARRIVAL AT THE START, BLOOMINGTON (S KHUMALO) WAS SUBJECT TO A VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. THEREAFTER, ON COMMENCEMENT OF THE LOADING PROCESS, FREE MOVEMENT (K A BREWER) WHICH WAS UNRULY, REFUSED TO LOAD AND WAS WITHDRAWN. THESE INCIDENTS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) CAPTAIN OF GRIT (C Habib) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer A P Peter was advised (PHvdW).
b) FREE MOVEMENT (K A Brewer) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer R R Sage was advised (PHvdW).
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to FREE MOVEMENT, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion.
Suspension dates: 24 May 2024 to 30 May 2024. FREE MOVEMENT may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer R R Sage was advised.
b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CAPTAIN OF GRIT, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on A Raceday.
Suspension dates: 24 May 2024 to 30 May 2024. CAPTAIN OF GRIT may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A P Peter was advised.
