THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BEAUTIFUL RANIA (A Mgudlwa) and STING RAY (*I Taka) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BITCOIN BABY (T Godden) raced detached from the field throughout. Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with BITCOIN BABY in the running and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was requested to report back on the condition of BITCOIN BABY on return to the stables. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with VISION TO ACHIEVE in the running and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey S Moodley reported that he felt something amiss with CHELSEA FLOWER in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice I Taka signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E, Guideline M) in that as the rider of STING RAY he misused his crop by striking this mare more than twelve times (18) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Accordingly a penalty of a fine of R25000 and a suspension of riding in races for a period 14 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised). e) RUGGER LOVER (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Prinsloo advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey M Yeni was the rider of RUGGER LOVER (Advised 27.05.24/07h54). b) Jockey S Veale was the rider of CONTRA FISCUM (Advised 27.05.24/08h02). c) CONTRA FISCUM raced equipped with blinkers (Advised 26.05.24/08h32).
