THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOHNNY APPLESEED (C Habib) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Trainer A P Peter was advised (GT). b) GLOBAL ZEE (K A Brewer) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised (GT). c) PARADISE FLOWER (J Gates) and TOOLEGITTOQUIT (*S Sosibo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, CARTAGENA (J R Syster) was carried out by TIGER STORM (S Khumalo), which jumped outwards sharply leaving the stalls. b) GREEN LIGHTNING (*M K Katjedi) was directed inwards to continue its run at the 200m, thereafter this filly shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to JOHNNY APPLESEED, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 5 June 2024 to 11 June 2024. JOHNNY APPLESEED may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A P Peter was advised. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GLOBAL ZEE, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday. Suspension dates: 5 June 2024 to 11 June 2024. GLOBAL ZEE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
