THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN SNOWBALL (K Matsunyane) was stubborn loading. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT). b) SHINTO SHRINE (C Habib), TOKYO MEDAGLIA (R Danielson), YOJIMBO (*N Nastili) were stubborn loading. c) GOLD FEVER (P Mxoli) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. d) ROYAL MIRACLE (Wes Marwing) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN SNOWBALL (K Matsunyane) and YOJIMBO (*N Nastili) failed to muster speed on debut and raced detached from the field throughout. b) PEACE TREATY (R Fourie) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 400m. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with PALACE GUARD in running.
