THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LIFE GOES ON (*N Nastili) was stubborn loading. Assistant Trainer C Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Binda was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT). b) INAFIX (C Habib) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, INAFIX (C Habib) jumped awkwardly and threw its head up. During this incident Jockey C Habib was struck on his face. b) Shortly after the start, LIFE GOES ON (*N Nastili) was steadied away from the heels of DARK TIDE (J Penny), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) FENNEC FOX (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R Klaasen advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) DARK TIDE was ridden by Jockey J Penny, who weighed out at 54,1kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight as declared (declared 13 June 2024 at 07H53).
