THE STARTER REPORTED: a) On arriving at the start Jockey R Fourie expressed concern with SUNDROP's action while proceeding to the start. This filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) HAVRE DE GRACE (M van Rensburg) was stubborn loading. c) DANCE MO (C Zackey) and WHATCHMYTAIL (*DB Geerthsen) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GALAXY MOMENT (Y Ramzan) was ridden forward from the start to the front of the field. Leaving the 1600m, this filly commenced to hang outwards and consequently, raced wide on the turn and lost ground to the field. As a result, the filly took up a position at the rear of the field. Shortly after entering the straight, GALAXY MOMENT (Y Ramzan) commenced to shift outwards away from the crop. Despite Jockey Y Ramzan's efforts to keep GALAXY MOMENT on a straight course, this filly continued to hang outwards and thereafter started to hang inwards from the 300m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine GALAXY MOMENT (Y Ramzan). The Stewards determined that this filly's performance was not satisfactory. GALAXY MOMENT (Y Ramzan) is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.5 and until such time as she is passed tractable on a race day and maintains a reasonable racing line with a companion around the bend to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. b) HAVRE DE GRACE (M van Rensburg) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr K Spargo) c) MILLENNIUM DANCER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
