THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALADO'S PRIDE (*N Nastili) was nervous in the stalls. b) STORM COMMANDER (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 100m INDY VIEW (M van Rensburg) was carried outwards by ALADO'S PRIDE (*N Nastili), which was hanging out and had to be straightened. Apprentice N Nastili appeared before the Board and was advised that in similar circumstances the Stewards would expect him to straighten his mounts sooner than he had on this occasion. b) Approaching the 50m MAGICAL MIDLANDS (S Khumalo) raced tight on the outside of DOWNING SEVEN (D Schwarz), which was hanging out. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that CENTRAL CITY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) ALADO'S PRIDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
