The start of this Race was delayed at the request of the Operator. MARCH TO GLORY was slow losing one length. CONTRAIL lost four lengths. The Starting Stall Certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. In view of the Starter's report with regard to CONTRAIL, this colt was suspended for a period of 7 days and until recertified tractable jumping on terms with a companion. CONTRAIL may not be presented for repassing during this period. ROYAL CITY over-raced in the early and middle stages. Jockey Bantam reported that he felt something amiss with CAPTAIN MORGANE in running. BABY LETS MAMBO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When afforded the opportunity to explain the improved performance of BABY LETS MAMBO, Trainer Spies explained to the Board that the change of tactics in going to the front and the addition of blinkers could have accounted for the improvement. Trainer Spies has undertaken where possible to race this gelding in a similar manner and similarly equipped in future. Notwithstanding this explanation, the Board have advised Mr Spies that this geldings future performances would be monitored, his attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running. BABY LETS MAMBO raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. GOLDEN MAN raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: CAPTAIN MORGANE - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: COUNTRY SQUIRE - coughing.
