THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DREAM SCAPE (M van Rensburg) reared in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) SEE YOU IN A BIT (S Khumalo) was restless and sat down in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a further delay. c) GLOBAL LADY (X Ndlovu) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 200m TIME FOR GLORY (C Zackey) was steadied and directed outwards when held up for a clear run behind PRINCESS DEB'S (*DB Geerthsen). b) PRINCESS DEB'S (DB Geerthsen) was hanging out on the turn. c) Jockey D Schwarz reported that SHINE IN MEMPHIS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey K Minnie reported that he felt something amiss with HOLLY'S VIEW. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the performance of GLOBAL LADY (X Ndlovu), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) Jockey S Khumalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline C on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of SEE YOU IN A BIT he misused his crop by striking SEE YOU IN A BIT more than three (3) times on consecutive strides, which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey S Khumalo signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000,00. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding DREAM SCAPE (M van Rensburg), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 15/06/2024 to 21/06/2024 inclusive). DREAM SCAPE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) GOCEKWITHLOVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
