THE STARTER REPORTED: a) I BELONG (R Fourie) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) JILTED (C Zackey) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) CASH DISCOUNT (C Habib) and SPLASHLANDING (K Matsunyane) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, TWOSTEP QUEEN (J R Syster) was bumped when awkwardly placed between JILTED (C Zackey) and I BELONG (R Fourie), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls b) Shortly after the start, TWOSTEP QUEEN (J R Syster) which commenced to over-race, was directed outwards away from the heels of INGQWELE (R Danielson), which rolled in marginally. As a consequence, TWOSTEP QUEEN (J R Syster) raced wide, without cover around the turn and into the straight. c) In the concluding stages, DIWALI ROCKET (S Khumalo) was carried out marginally by GUERILLA WARFARE (M Yeni), which rolled out and was straightened. d) Jockey C Habib reported that CASH DISCOUNT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that JILTED did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer A Ndzilana was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of JILTED on return to stables. f) GUERILLA WARFARE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
