THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TWENTY DRACHMA'S (C Habib) was slow losing two lengths. b) RAISEAHALLELUJAH (R Fourie) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, PRIME EXAMPLE (S Khumalo), which had come to the end of its run, and commenced to hang in, was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed between MAMBO COME TESIO (K Matsunyane), which rolled in marginally and VESUVIO (*N Nastili), which shifted out away from the crop and was corrected. b) Jockey G Lerena reported that ABSOLUTE VALUE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey K A Brewer reported that AFRAAD made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
