THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ESCAPOLOGIST (C F Dicken) brushed the inside running rail shortly before entering the final straight. b) At the 200m RECKLESS LOVE (C Habib) was momentarily inconvenienced between LIGHT OF DAY (S Khumalo) and KIND JUDY (A Mgudlwa), which rolled in. c) KIND JUDY (A Mgudlwa) was hanging out and shifted out in the concluding stages. d) Jockeys T Godden (CHICHICASTENANGO) and J Gates (BURMESE TIARA) reported that their respective mounts made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performances of NIGHTINGALES SING (S Veale) (6.95 lengths, 5/1 in the betting) and COLORADO CREEK (C Zackey) (8.70 lengths, 16/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Assistant Trainer G van Zyl acting on behalf of Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate NIGHTINGALES SING against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar.
