THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SEPTEMBER FLOWER (R Fourie) and CARVED IN STONE (*B Plaatjies) were nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths. b) GOTCHA BUZZ (C Maujean) and FREE WORLD (D Schwarz) jumped slow, losing one length. c) TARTAN QUEEN (L Mxothwa) jumped inwards and made contact with TUNE AGAIN (CF Dicken) leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice N Nastili reported that ADRIANA ELLE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Trainer GD Smith was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of BELLA ATTRICE. Trainer GD Smith signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R500,00. c) Trainer AC Greeff was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that he failed to ensure that SEPTEMBER FLOWER was presented in the security area at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the third (3rd) race. Trainer AC Greeff signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R2 500,00. d) FREE WORLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised.
