THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SI GIOCA (K Minnie) was nervous in the stalls, fly-jumped leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. b) PASHTUNWALI (*MH Alabdulmalik) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PASHTUNWALI (*MH Alabdulmalik) shifted outwards away from the crop from the 300m and had to be straightened. b) In view of the performance ARTURO (R Fourie) (Betting 33/20; Distance 16.50 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. Trainer AC Greeff will be advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this colt on his return to the stables. c) Trainer WGC Miller was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that he failed to ensure that LT ALEXANDER and PASHTUNWALI were presented in the security area at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the seventh (7th) race. Assistant Trainer NJ Paddock, acting on behalf of Trainer WGC Miller, signed Admission of Guilt and Trainer WGC Miller was fined R2 500,00. d) PASHTUNWALI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
