THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BEIJING BOULEVARD (K Minnie) was stubborn loading, jumped outwards and thereafter was slow into stride. b) SEXBOMB (IRE) (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the inclement weather conditions. b) SEXBOMB (IRE) (R Fourie) failed to muster speed in the early stages of the race and compounded in the straight. c) KING OF QUEEN (Y Ramzan) failed to muster speed in the middle part of the race and gave ground to the field, which he regained in the closing stages of the race. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer GD Smith was requested to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. d) COLONEL GREEN (L Mxothwa) was carried outwards by MAGIC PRINCE (*MH Alabdulmalik), which shifted out away from the crop at the 300m. e) MAGIC PRINCE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
