DOLLAR BRAND was fractious in the stalls, taken out and reloaded with the hood on, delaying the start, thereafter jumped slow, losing one length. SO SMOOTH was restless in the stalls and stood awkwardly. TWICE AS SLEEK dislodged his jockey on the way to the start, was examined by the veterinary surgeon and withdrawn, lame left front. Mr Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer Snaith, was instructed that TWICE AS SLEEK must be accompanied by a lead pony in all future engagements. In view of the report from the Starter regarding SO SMOOTH, Assistant Trainer van Reenen will be advised to have this gelding re schooled before his next engagement. In view of the report from the starter regarding DOLLAR BRAND, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he was suspended and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. DOLLAR BRAND may not be presented for re-passing during this period. AL BRAGGA and RADIANT LOVE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GREY FERRARI raced with ear muffs.
