THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAMBO COME TESIO (M Yeni) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) UNITED COUNCIL (S Khumalo), TWENTY DRACHMA'S (P Mxoli) and ARLINGTON ACTION (J Gates) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to a technical issue with the Hawk Eye system in the Stewards boardroom. b) Jockey C Habib reported that MEDLERS TART made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey KA Brewer reported that AFRAAD made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In the concluding stages ABSOLUTE VALUE (G Lerena), which had come to the end of its run, was brushed in by ARLINGTON ACTION (J Gates), which was directed inwards to avoid running onto the heels of MAMBO COME TESIO (M Yeni). e) VESUVIO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
