THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TO THE HILT (*N Nastili) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 400m. Consequently, this gelding had to be straightened on a number of occasions. Apprentice N Nastili appeared before the Board and was advised to react timeously when his mounts shift ground and to be more aware of his mount's lateral movement in future engagements. b) CATCH YOUR BREATH (R Fourie) shifted inwards away from the crop at approximately the 250m and was corrected. c) MISTER WHISTLE (C Maujean) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with SLAINTE MHATH. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) CATCH YOUR BREATH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
