THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CORAL CREEK (R Fourie) was stubborn loading. b) OVER THE ATLANTIC (D Schwarz) rushed the front gates of the starting stalls. c) NIKES RAY OF LIGHT (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter jumped slow, losing one length. d) LENNOXTOWN (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing two lengths. e) SANDY'S PRINCESS (*N Nastili) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NIKES RAY OF LIGHT over raced in the early stages, which resulted in Jockey C Zackey's saddle slipping forward. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. b) SANDY'S PRINCESS (*N Nastili) over raced in the early and middle stages, which resulted in this filly racing wide on the turn. c) Leaving the 700m MASTER FORESTER (X Ndlovu) clipped the heels of CORAL CREEK (R Fourie). Thereafter, at approximately the 300m, MASTER FORESTER (X Ndlovu) had to be switched out to obtain a clear run. d) NIKES RAY OF LIGHT (C Zackey) had to be steadied off the heels of CORAL CREEK (R Fourie), which shifted in slightly before the finish line. e) SANDY'S PRINCESS (*N Nastili) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders) f) THREAD OF LIFE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing was advised.
