THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KAROO BOKKIE (R Fourie) was stubborn loading, nervous in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. b) NATURAL WONDER (*DB Geerthsen) was nervous in the stalls. c) BLUEBERRY BLUE (M van Rensburg) jumped inwards and was slow into stride. d) GOTCHA BUZZ (S Khumalo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BEST INTENTIONS (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 300m to the 100m. Jockey C Zackey reported that the saddle on BEST INTENTIONS slipped back in running. b) KAROO BOKKIE, which raced green, jumped a shadow at the finish line, stumbled and unbalanced Jockey R Fourie. In view of the performance of KAROO BOKKIE (R Fourie) (Betting 15/10; Distance 8.05 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. c) Jockey C Maujean reported that BELLA ATTRICE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer GD Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. d) BLUEBERRY BLUE (M van Rensburg) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
