THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PARIS LASS (*N Nastili) was stubborn loading. b) SLIM JANNIE (L Mxothwa) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. c) TUSCAN GOLD (Y Ramzan) was nervous in the stalls and kicked the back gates. d) TEATRO (X Ndlovu) and WHATEVER NEXT (K Minnie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TUSCAN GOLD (Y Ramzan) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) Leaving the 200m, LIGHT THAT LOOSE (M van Rensburg) shifted out away from the crop. c) From the 150m WHATEVER NEXT (K Minnie) shifted out away from the crop. d) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with AUSSENKEHR. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. e) EVIES FIRST, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
