THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JUST FOR U (S Khathi) was stubborn loading. b) THREE CHEERS (C Maujean) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 150m FANTASY GIRL (R Fourie) was awkwardly placed on the inside of SWEET CAKE (C Zackey), which had commenced to shift out away from the crop from the 200m and had to stead momentarily. Thereafter, DAFNES DAUGHTER (M Yeni) and SWEET CAKE (C Zackey) made contact, which resulted in FANTASY GIRL (R Fourie) becoming unbalanced and having to be eased for a number of strides at the 100m. Jockey C Zackey appeared before the Board and was advised to react sooner to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in the race. b) LADY THEIA (*DB Geerthsen) shifted in away from the crop at the 400m and was corrected. c) DAFNES DAUGHTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
