THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PANTADOR (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stalls. b) PORTCULLIS (D Ashby) and SISTER MIDNIGHT (*N Nastili) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CRIMSON COMET (S Khumalo) was carried out by BELLE'S FIRST WAVE (C Maujean) from approximately the 250m to the finish. Jockey C Maujean appeared before the Board and was advised to react timeously when his mounts shift ground in the race. b) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that LORD CAPULET did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Jockey C Habib reported that DANCE MO did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Trainer JVA Strydom was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he failed to present LORD CAPULET correctly equipped in the parade ring. Trainer JVA Strydom signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning. e) BELLE'S FIRST WAVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing was advised.
