THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUENTASIA (*D Pillay) was stubborn to load. Lost 2 lengths. b) MAMAS BABY (S Moodley) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 200m MAMAS BABY (S Moodley) was brushed in by DHOW SOLO (C Maujean) which rolled in. Thereafter, at the 150m DHOW SOLO (C Maujean) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of PRINCESS HANNAH (*N Nastili) which was hanging in badly. b) The saddle on PRINCESS HANNAH slipped sideways in the running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. c) FLYING THE STAR (*S Hlengwa) was hanging in from the 300m. d) In view of the performance of MAMAS BABY (S Moodley) (3.80 lengths, 5/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) FLYING THE STAR (*S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M L Roberts advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice J Botes (claiming 4kg) was the rider of BEADED GOWN (advised 01.08.2024/11h52). b) MAMAS BABY raced equipped with blinkers and fitted with a tongue tie (advised 03.08.2024/08h58).
