THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AQUILA GOLD was nervous and dislodged Jockey S Khathi in the stalls during the loading process. b) PASHTUNWALI (M van Rensburg) and MISTER WHISTLE (K Minnie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SWISS WALT (D Schwarz) was buffeted between COASTAL PATH (S Veale) and MISTER WHISTLE (K Minnie), which resulted in the hindquarters of SWISS WALT (D Schwarz) being turned inwards. b) AQUILA GOLD (S Khathi) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders) c) HERECOMESTHERAIN (*N Nastili) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders) d) SWISS WALT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
