THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZANTHAR (S Moodley) and KNIGHT WARRIOR (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ZANTHAR (S Moodley) was hanging in from the 300m. b) In the concluding stages HELSINKI (M Yeni) was brushed in by MAR DEL PLATA (M Thackeray), which was hanging in from the 500m. c) TEEREX (*K J Lihaba) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. d) In the concluding stages HIPPOCRATES (T Godden) was carried out by SOHO STAR (*B Plaatjies) which shifted out away from the crop. Apprentice B Plaatjies appeared before the Board regarding his involvement in this incident and he was advised to take measures to correct his mounts when shifting ground in races in future. e) Apprentice K J Lihaba signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E), in that he mis-used his crop by striking TEEREX forward of the saddle in the latter stages. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) SOHO STAR (*B Plaatjies), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Y Govender advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) MUSIC IS LIFE raced equipped with blinkers (advised 13.08.2024/07h58). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
